Social Media in Education

Well, there are many Teachers out there who are against the use of Social media.

Considering the addiction of the current generation to the Social Media, it is obvious that the Teachers can have such an impression.

However when Social media is utilized properly, Learning could be made more Fun and the students could relate to us well. The younger generation always consider that their Teachers are from 'old School' and so do not show much interest in their academics. Teachers can start using Social Media as a Learning Platform! in this blog I would like to teach some of the Social Media tools for effective Teaching.

“When I wrote ‘The World Is Flat,’ I said the world is flat. Yeah, we’re all connected. Facebook didn’t exist; Twitter was a sound; the cloud was in the sky; 4G was a parking place; LinkedIn was a prison; applications were what you sent to college; and Skype, for most people, was a typo.”

— Thomas Friedman,

This was the time that many of us including me existed.

The journey of Social Media into our lives can be summed up as below:

"Google runs the world, Facebook runs the life, Apple provides the best tools for people to use these things. And Twitter begins revolutions, sparks real change."

- A.D. Aliwat

"Social media is supersonic, Flickering Light, double-edged, and wireless transmission to a massive population across the globe. It will fight for injustice, peak the reputation, and sometimes sabotage the hallmark, and connect millions without the tariff."

- Ebinezar Gnanasekaran

"This day and time, in order to reach your target audience, you must strengthen your digital presence."

- Germany Kent
